RULING
1. By letter dated 6 August 2016 the appellant informed the Tribunal that the appellant had been granted an EEA residence permit and that he therefore wished to withdraw his appeal. Attached to his letter was a Photostat of his passport confirming the grant.
2. By operation of section 104 (4A) of the 2002 Act as substituted by the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, an appeal under section 82 (1) brought by a person while he is in the United Kingdom shall be treated in such circumstances as abandoned.
3. RULING
The appellant's appeal is treated as abandoned.
